The new Equal-i-zer® 400 / 4,000 lb. model hitch will be available February 2nd, 2009.
Progress Mfg. Inc. debuted its new 4K Equal-i-zer® hitch at the 2008 RVIA show in Louisville, KY. The new hitch copies the design of the current family of Equal-i-zer integrated sway control hitches, and is designed to support the RV industry's trend toward smaller, lighter, trailers. It takes advantage of Progress Mfg.'s proven rigid sway bracket and head designs to provide the exceptional performance and safety long time Equal-i-zer hitch owners and dealers have become used to.
"We have been listening to the feedback our dealers and customers give us," said Jed Anderson, CEO of Progress Mfg. Inc. "Many dealers, especially those on the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada, have been encouraging us to develop a hitch for lighter trailers. With current industry trends and market conditions, we felt the time was right for its release this year."

The new model features a maximum tongue weight of 400 lbs., and a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs. It is American Made with high grade U.S. steel and carries a limited lifetime warranty, just like the other Equal-i-zer® hitch models.
